Previous roles of The Big Bang Theory stars

Geeks and non-geeks alike jumped with joy when CBS aired The Big Bang Theory’s first episode in September 2007. The sitcom, which focused around a group of adorably socially awkward and insanely smart science nerds, was exactly the refreshing and new type of series that the world of television had been waiting for. The show, created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, was proven to be a great success from the very beginning, reeling in an impressive eight million viewers in its first season. Of course, a few of the stars of the show had already reached decent TV fame prior to their first appearance on the sitcom, but there is no denying that the role they are still most recognized for today, and might perhaps always be most recognized for, is the character they play on The Big Bang Theory.

Whatever previous gigs that the actors and actresses of The Big Bang Theory held prior to the show, big or small, minor or recurring, they did have some significance. Those previous roles acted as necessary stepping stones that led the future TV mega stars to the once-in-a-lifetime job that they now have today.
