Do you feel as though you need a well-earned break? Are you still suffering from the symptoms of the traveling bug? More importantly, are you still broke from, well, life itself? If so, then here are four of the best budget vacation spots from around the world.

Agra, India

If you’re looking for… exciting culture, tasty food, beautiful architecture.

Although the costs of flights can differ, Agra offers some amazing budget experiences. It lies at the heart of India, and is known to be the “soul of India’s Islamic art and creativity”. Depending on the time of year you visit, there’s a whole host of cultural festivals and fairs that can give you an incredibly insightful look into the colorful sights and sounds of India.

Maui, Hawaii

If you’re looking for… sun, sea and sandy beaches.

If you’re departing from mainland USA, flights are usually relatively cheap. Plus, what better way to spend the weekend than to fly off to sunny paradise for a bit of relaxation? Hawaii holds the key to some of the USA’s most stunning beaches and rural scenery, so be prepared to gawk at some gorgeous views. You can also find some cheap hostels if you look in the right places at the right time. Winter months are when the prices are usually low – and the sun will still be shining, too!

What are the best things to do and see? Whale watching, snorkeling tours, and trekking Haleakala National Park.

Budapest, Hungry

If you’re looking for… the “young traveling experience”, historical landmarks, cheap clubs and bars.

Budapest is known to be one of the cheapest places in the world to visit, and for good reason, too. Flights to Europe aren’t as expensive as you think, and as soon as you arrive, you won’t have to worry about spending too much money either. Most of the attractions and tourist-y destinations in the city are free, plus if you’re young and up for some fun, you’ll simply be happy with basking in the infectious bustling atmosphere. There’s also some fascinating cultural history to explore.

What are the best things to do and see? Relax in the community baths, cruise the Danube River, and walk along the famous ‘Chain Bridge’.

St. Helena

If you’re looking for… hiking, scenic views, and escaping to the middle of nowhere.

The island of St Helena is located in the South Atlantic Ocean, but it’s still super cheap to get there! Although it remained a mostly remote destination for years, it’s really proving itself to be a fantastically unique place for tourists to come and check out. There’s a real sense of close-knit community, and it’s quite possibly the most breathtaking place on earth. You can take in the panoramic views of Mount St Helena and grab a beverage at one of its mountainous pubs on the way down. What more could you want?

What are the best things to do and see? Diana’s Peak, a marine lifeboat trip, and taste the island’s world-renowned coffee.

Depending on whether you’re looking to dip your toes in a pool or put your walking boots on, do a bit more research into these cities and you’ll be sure to find something to inspire you. These vacation spots will offer you cheap flights, cheap accommodation, and even cheaper accommodation. Get booking!
