Shut the front door! It’s finally here, the Harry Potter River Cruise we’ve been dreaming about has finally arrived. Accio tickets! This Hogwarts-themed nautical journey is just about the most rad thing Potterheads could possibly conceive of! This is the magical journey you’ve enjoyed in your dreams, and now it’s time to make your dreams a reality – no Muggles allowed!
Are you simply salivating at the very thought of expanding your Potter experiences? We recently enjoyed the 20-year anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and this is just the icing on top of the cake. Starting in August of this year, the highly-anticipated river cruises are pretty much the highlight of our lives up to this point, and we can’t wait to get tickets. Here’s all you need to know to enjoy your very own Harry Potter cruise.
Barge Lady Cruises
So, to whom do we have to swear eternal devotion by way of the Unbreakable Vow? Well, the geniuses behind this idea are the Barge Lady Cruises company, and we want to send these gals some flowers! This week-long cruise experience will debut in the summer of this year and will take place in England. Anyone who didn’t receive their Hogwarts letter at the age of 11 will have the chance to right a few wrongs, by making sure they get tickets for this stunning adventure!
So what does this cruise have to offer? Well, let’s take you on a journey… You’ll start by boarding a ship known as the Magna Carter, after enjoying a cream tea. Here you will meet the crew, get acclimated to your surroundings, and enjoy a Hogwarts-themed meal. Day 2 sees you arrive at Hampton Court Palace for a tour, while Day 3 takes you to Virginia Water, as featured in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. On Day 4 it’s off to Dorney Court, the location of Privet Drive, while on Day 5 you will take the Harry Potter Studio Tour, and on Day 6 you’ll enjoy a tour of the Great Hall at Christ Church College, before heading back to the hotel on Day 7!
As you might imagine, this is a pretty exclusive opportunity and one that many others are going to want to do as well. And it’s not like you’ll be able to bag a place using a Time Turner, or sneak on board via a vanishing cabinet! But, you might also need to start saving big time, because tickets will set you back north of $4,000 per person. Holy cricket! To be honest, this is a once in a lifetime experience, and we do think that anyone who loves Harry Potter needs to have this experience. So we would urge you to start saving as best you can, and get your tickets for this stunning experience before you miss out on the chance – we don’t know how long this will be running for!
Are you as excited as we are about this amazing opportunity?! If you are obsessed with everything Harry Potter, how can you possibly pass up the opportunity of a lifetime?! This is a dream come true for Potterheads across the world, and we simply cannot wait!
