If you’re the kind of person that lives for adventure and is constantly on the lookout for new and exciting activities, there’s a high chance that swimming with sharks is on your list. While most people don’t like to make a habit of swimming with these rather rough-and-ready creatures, there’s no doubt about the fact that some people find them absolutely incredible. Swimming with them is a thrill that only some people can understand, so why can’t you be next? These are the most beautiful locations to swim with sharks.

New South Wales, Australia

Australia is known for being home to all kinds of giant fish, including sharks and whales. Because of this, a trip to Australia wouldn’t be complete without a trip down under the surface of the ocean. New South Wales is especially famous for housing some of the biggest sharks in the world, and Fish Rock Cave is overrun with all kinds of animals that you’ll be able to swim with. You’ll be able to see what they see, and you’ll be able to swim around their turf.

Nassau, Bahamas

You probably don’t need too much of a reason to head to the Bahamas, but it seems as though you now have even more reason to book your tickets. That’s because Nassau is one of the best places in the world to swim with sharks, as it’s not only beautiful, but it’s also teeming with the creatures. Nassau is home to beautiful coral reefs which makes any dive completely overwhelming, but the fact that sharks come and go as they please means that you’re almost guaranteed an up-close-and-personal encounter with these beasts.

Cancun, Mexico

If you’ve always wanted to swim with a whale shark, then Cancun should definitely be next on your bucket list. That’s because this place is home to the largest concentration of whale sharks in the world, and you’re guaranteed a sighting or two. As if that wasn’t cool enough, this animal is also normally found hanging around with their friends, the manta ray, which means you’ll also get to swim amongst these majestic creatures. If swimming right next to these animals does unnerve you, though, you’ll be happy to know that most of the companies that offer shark diving in Cancun also offer you the chance to stay in a cage.

Oahu, Hawaii

As one of the most beautiful and most natural places in the world, it’s fair to say that countless people make their way to Hawaii every single year. While many people do this for the jungle and the beaches, there are others who make this trip because they want to swim with sharks. There are more than enough sharks around this area, which means that it won’t take you long to come face to face with tiger sharks and Galapagos sharks. It’s also a stunning destination for you to dive in, and once again you’ll have the choice to either snorkel alongside them or hang out in a cage. Most beginners choose the cage to start with, but there’s always the option to progress if you feel like it.

Are you thinking of swimming with sharks? While it’s not a decision that you should take lightly, it is one that can be done across the world. This means that you need to choose your destination wisely.
